Helen has been in business since 1979 and although the location of the shop has changed a few times over the years, somethings remain the same. After all these years, Helen continues to offer quality antiques at competitive prices and friendly service with a smile. Antiques by Helen is the perfect place to shop for that unique gift or hard to find item. We carry a large variety of fine and costume jewelry, southwest and Native American items, an extensive library, high end china and glassware, wonderful furniture, military items, elegant linens, wall art, and more. Helen and her staff have been entrusted by countless families to handle theirs or their loved ones' possessions in the liquidation of both living and final estates in homes all over Lawton. Helen always strives to exceed the client's expectations and her sales are always a smashing success.
Our Layaway Program is a basic ninety day payment plan with no additional fees. The policy requires customers to put one third of the total purchase price down and then to simply make payments to equal at least one third of the total purchase price every thirty days. Customers can pick up the item once it has been paid in full.
Our Consignment Program allow individuals to sell certain items which the store has need of or which our customers are seeking, through the store. For this service, Helen charges thirty five percent of the sales price and is paid with the proceeds of the sale, following which, the remaining amount is paid to the item's owner.
When you choose Antiques by Helen to handle a final or living estate liquidation, you can be certain that you are in good hands. Helen and her staff will always handle yours or your loved ones' possessions professionally with the dignity, care, and respect, that they deserve. Helen's sales are always well organized, well staffed, well advertised, and well attended, ensuring profitability and leaving you stress free during what is often a difficult time.
Helen provides a friendly and knowledgeable staff who will sort through every item in every nook and cranny, thoroughly researching and organizing to maximize sales potential. She provides advertising and signage, tables and check out equipment, marking and tagging materials, showcases for jewelry, additional lighting and clothing racks where necessary. She maintains an extensive call and email list of customers so your sale will have no shortage of shoppers. At the checkout counter, Helen's staff will keep diligent and detailed records of every transaction so that upon completion of the event, you receive a line by line itemized list of every sale. Then, when it is all over, if you choose, Helen will arrange for remaining items to be donated to a charitable organization on your behalf and some items may be consigned for future sale in her shop.
Once you have requested a sale, Helen will contact you to set up a convenient time for an initial consultation and assessment and if it is determined that one of our sales would be a feasible option for you, Helen will leave a contract for you to read over and sign. Once you have signed the contract, you can drop it and the keys as well as any alarm codes or entry instructions off with us and we will set up a time to begin working. For estate sales, Helen charges 38% of the total proceeds.
